IR Reprogram
Trying to reprogram the IR codes to match my DISH VIP 211 and not having much luck. When I get to the point of holding down a key, this either causes sage to just shut down or nothing happens at all.
Its been quite a while since I originally programmed it for the DISH 301. I dont remmember it being difficult. I also tried 'reprogramming' with the dish 301 remote but got nothing there either. This Actysis IR200L was successfully controlling a Dish 301 until about a week ago when I swaped it for the VIP. mike/ |

Dish and Actysis IR200L can't be program.
You should be able to use the premake DishSatelliteReceiver1 IR files as long your Dish is set on Remote Address 1. |

ok thats this issue then...I'll check the remote address, I know that the old 301 remote does not work with the VIP right now, so its probably set to a different address by default.
thanks! |

I tried all 16 addresses and none of them will work. It seems that dish is using a completely different scheme with the new generation receivers.
Nothing I did generated any kind of response on the VIP reciever. I swapped in a 301 and everything works as it did before. This is unfortunate because the PQ is much better from the VIP (even though the svid downshifts the HD channels) Dont really know what to try from here, since the Actysis cant learn from the dish remote. mike/ |
