Just a suggestion
If you're like me and you've got a thousand different codecs installed when you first get STV, you may want to try uninstalling and unregistering all of them and reinstalling just the ones that you need for SageTV. It did me wonders. Seems to speed up the response time of SageTV.
Just a suggestion.
