Upgraded to SageTV 4.0 Previous Recordings Missing
Trying to Upgrade from SageTV 2.2 to 4.0. Tried upgrading the existing version and previous TV recordings no longer visible in 4.0.
I kept a back up of the original wiz and properties files, did a fresh install of SageTV 4.0 and still no luck with recognizing the previous TV recordings. Even tried copying the old wiz file and no luck. Reinstalled 2.2, copied old wiz and properties files back, and the recordings again visible. Reviewed various postings in the forum, and did not find anything that might help me with this situation. Any thoughts on what I might be doing wrong with the upgrade to cause the previous recordings not to show up? Thanks,

See: How to install a new version of SageTV.
I'm guessing that the new version wasn't installed in the same location as the old version & the old wiz.bin wasn't being used. (The default install dir was changed.) You can also go to SageTV Recordings, use the Options command and check the Display Filter setting to make sure everything isn't just getting filtered out. - Andy

Yes I did install the upgrade in the same location as the previous version. Did the upgrade a third time, and this time the previous recordings are showing up.
Noticed in another discussion thread that several people tried it a third time and it worked, so thought I would give it another try. Thanks for the suggestions.
