MediaMVP playing avi files.
I have backup some of my dvds to my server hardrive in avi format. when I play them on the server with SageTv they play great.
However when I try to play them on my TV through my MediaMVP they start out great and with in about 10 seconds I lose all audio, and the video gets jumpy. Is there anything special I need to change to get this to work. I have an AMD64 2800 with 1 GB of memory. I just installed the latest beta I believe it is 4.1.12 Any other info you need to help me figure this out. Thanks for the help.

There were some changes in 4.1.12 related to Placeshifter transcoding that broke some of the MVP transcoding support. They've been fixed for the next build. (if you go back to 4.1.11 they should work fine for now)

Thanks for the info. I did a reload with 4.1.11 and that fixed the avi file problem.
Now at random sage encounters a problem and shuts down. I tried completely removing Sagetv since I had 4.1.12 on the computer, and reloaded 4.1.11 but still it gets the random problem and shuts down. I will just wait and see what 4.1.13 does when it comes out. I really like SageTV. I don't know how I survived television watching without it.

Did you update the install of 4.1.11 with http://download.sage.tv/users/qian/WinRawInput.dll? I don't know if they ever rebuilt 4.1.11 with the fixed dll file. If they didn't, it would be good to update your system with this file. Just a guess, but it may be the cause of some of your crashes? Hope this helps. |
