Unhappy Sage doesn't like my second Theatrix 550

Hello. I've been a BeyondTV user for awhile, and I decided to try out Sage. I like what I see as far as the UI and the amount of customization, but there is a rather big problem. Sage hates my second ATI Theatrix 550 card.

When I go to set up tuners, everything works fine for the first card...

When I set up the second card "ATI AVStream Analog Capture #2", and select TV Tuner as the input, 1 of 3 things seems to happen:
1) I will see a picture in the preview window of whatever Capture card 1 was last tuned to. I can change channels using the arrow keys, but the picture stays at that same channel
2) I see static in the preview panel
3) Sage freezes.

So far I've tried reinstalling Sage, reinstalling the capture card drivers, etc. Any other ideas? Is this a known issue? I know they both worked in BeyondTV, so I don't think the problem is with the hardware.

Thanks in advance.

Jamie

I didn't think the ATI drivers for that card supported 2 boards in the same PC. I know that was ATI's stance before.

Get new drivers

Get the new drivers @ https://support.ati.com/ics/support/...e&folderID=293

You wiil be able to use more than one, the original drivers only supported 1 at a time.

Thanks for the replies, but I have the latest drivers from ATI's site, and like I said: They work flawlessly together in BeyondTV.

Make sure you have the latest version of SageTV. I have 2 theater 550 pro cards working great on my system.

I'm running the Feb 9th driver from ATI's site, and the latest Sage 4.1.11 beta.

I'm running Sage 4.1.3 (downloaded over the weekend, so should be latest) and Theatrix drivers version 6.14.10.134.

I don't remember exactly when both tuners started working, it kinda coincided with a beta version of Sage and new driver from ATI. It wasn't that long ago, likely was a Sage beta version that's newer than the trial download version. I had thought it was the ATI driver that fixed it, now I'm not so sure anymore.

I don't know if the latest beta works as the trial version, but it's here:
