Directshow error

Within the last few days, SageTV has stopped working properly.
The first time I had a problem, it was with a scheduled recording event. I got a couple of messages, but ignored them, shutdown the program and rebooted the machine (as indicated by the error message). The problem recurred. I was able to watch Live programming, and even record. But the error would still recur.
Now I can not watch anything and I get the following message:

"There was a problem with time control in DirectShow. Failed seeking the DirectShow filter graph after switching files ErrCode+0x80004001."

What should I do?

What video & audio decoder filters are you using? Check in Detailed Setup for that. Also, check to make sure your hard disks didn't somehow get filled up.

Sorry for not replying sooner. I was on vacation. The filters are the default Hauppague ones. Perhaps it is a hard disk issue. I will try clearing out files and see what happens. Thanks.

Unfortunately cleaning up the disks did not work.
Let me ask you something, what would you do:
1. Blow up everything and reinstall starting with the operating system.
2. Uninstall and reinstall Hauppauge and SageTV stuff
3. Some other alternative.

I did recently install Microsoft activesync and my problems seemed to start shortly there after. I have uninstalled, but it may no difference. Any thoughts?

Thanks.

Network Encoder

Well just before reinstalling everything, I decided to "turn-off" the second source - a networked source on another PC. Now, at least, SageTV is working on the main PC. I am able to watch and record programming. Not sure what the problem is on the with the other PC. I can use Sagerecorder, SageClient and the Hauppauge software, no problem, but...

I have purchased a new PC to replace this one anyways, so I will wait to load everything on the new computer and will try again.
