No Audio With V4 Playing V1 Recorded Video

I just upgraded from Sage V1 on a WinME machine to V4 on an XPPro machine. (Actually, same machine but clean install of XPPro). I copied my old video library into a new directory on C:\, and designated it as the Media Center Imported Video directory. Most of the videos were recorded with Sage V1, but some are from other sources. All are .mpg format.

Sage 4, server or client, will not play the audio on most of these files. If I use any other application to play them (Winamp, Elecard, Nero, etc), the audio is fine on all of them.

The only clue I can offer is that the problem only seems to affect content recorded by Sage V1 from certain channels (via DirecTV). For instance, video from the Biography channel works with Sage 4 playback, but nothing recorded from AMC has audio. This may be a coincidence, but if so, the odds are huge.

This is most strange. Anybody have a suggestion?
