Force storage location by capture device?
Ok – I’m getting close to the setup I want, just need some help with a couple tweaks if possible.
I’ve setup a 2nd server running the Sage server that has two HD capture cards in it (OTA). My main Sage server (with two Hauppauge 150s in it) has found this using the auto discover network encoder stuff (nifty). I’m able to record and playback, see the program guide and all that good stuff. However, when I record an HD show it’s storing the resulting program on the main Sage server, but I want it to store it on the local HD capture box – I have a gigabit LAN so this may be OK but I’d much rather have the HD shows stored on the local box and stream them off when I want to play them. Wandering around the advanced settings and such, I don’t see a way to indicate that shows on my two HD encoders should write only to drives X or Y… I have the drives on the HD capture server shared out and mapped in the main sage server, but it’s not using them. Is there a way to accomplish this and I’m missing it? Thanks much -Jeff

That was something added in one of the recent betas & last mentioned here. It may not be working, in which case you could submit a bug report if you try it & it doesn't work.
