Avermedia M179 Troubles
Hi guys. I'm trying to get an Avermedia M179 to work under Sage. I've installed the MCE 1.1.2.2 drivers (from ftp://ftp.shspvr.com/download/media_...79_1.1.2.2.zip) and the card shows up as 'PVR-PCI, Avermedia MPEG Capture Device' under Device manager. The card does not show up when I try to add the tuner in Sage. I do have a PVR150 in the box also if that makes any difference. It shows up and works fine. I am also running WinXP Home.
I had the M179 working under Linux, so I know that the card is functional. Any ideas on what to do, who to ask, and/or what to try next? |

regardless of whether or not this card is supported (i'm not sure), did you restart sage after installing the drivers for the card? I just added a PVR 150 and after i installed the card and drivers--tried to add the source to sage and it just wasn't showing up. My other tuner was there though. Once i restarted sage (probably service too), it showed right up and I was able to continue with the source setup.

Thanks for the tip. I rebooted after installing the card so I would imagine that Sage should be able to recognize the card now.
