Bonehead mistake with the remote

Managed to reassign the Select button on the Hauppauge remote to be the previous channel button. While that is a useful feature, it does make it a tad difficult to select anything. Can't simply unassign it, 'cause you have to be able to use the Select button to okay the change, and all the other buttons have something assigned to them. Saw references to the irremote.ini file, but when I opened mine, there is no SageTV section. There's only about a dozen lines, most of them dealing with the numbers. Can I just copy over one of the ini files from the other posts, or do I not have that kind of luck?

Is this on a PC or an MVP?

PC: If you reassigned that button in SageTV, then don't worry about the ini file. Just go through the motions of linking the button back to the Select command, but use the keyboard Enter key to make selections.

MVP: Turn off the MVP. Look in the 'clients' subdirectory in your SageTV dir. The MVP's property file will be there (named w/the MAC address of the MVP, I believe). You can either delete the properties file & its autobackup, or delete the ui/rc_mappings/<command name> property that matches the one you mis-assigned. I _think_ that will do it.

It's going thru the MVP, so I'll give that a try when I get home. Thanks for the quick reply!

BTW: I just realized that you'll need to remove both affected command properties lines (Prev Channel & Select), or else the OK button will just end up being assigned to nothing.

Saw that when I was digging thru the file. I reassigned it *correctly* this time and it works like a charm!

Mucho Thanks!
