How much CPU for placeshifter?

I need to upgrade my SageTV server soon. How much CPU horsepower is recommended for placeshifter?

Also, I remember someone mentioning that SageTV is multithreaded. Is it SMP aware as well?

Your Athlon 1.1Ghz should be fast enough to stream at web standard 300kbps 352x240 30fps. I've done on a PIII 800mhz and it worked fine also.
