Only 1 problem left for MVP transcoding
With the latest beta, 4.1.10, all of my MVP problems are now fixed except one.
The problem I am having is with fast forwarding divx and xvid files. When I fast forward, it takes me to the beginning of the file everytime. Thus, I cannot fast forward or I will have to watch the whole movie over again. Anyone else see this behavior?

Can you skip around the file if you open it in WMP? I'm wondering if the AVI has a broken index.

In WMP the FF and RW is greyed out but I can use the mouse and move around in the movie and that works fine.
Also, if I play the file in Sage when I am at the server the FF and RW works fine. Just a problem when I try to FF and RW w/the MVP

Actually 2 problems left. 1) is the problem jettman is having. 2) is the inability to transcode the audio to allow DVD archive viewing over the MVP
.Hopefully this will get fixed prior to a final release. -PGPfan |

1). The $30 DVD players in my house are dying and I have to bang them around to get them to work usually. I really don't want to buy another DVD player as streaming to the MVP is sooooo much more convenient. However, sometimes, I don't want to wait to rip a DVD to watch it. 2). I would love to rip entire menus and features and everything instead of just the movies to stream. This way, I could enjoy all the benefits of the DVD while having the actual disk safely stored away where little fingers can't scratch it! |
