When I plug in the sound card the video dies?

When I plug in the sound card the video dies?

Just picked up a new(ish) TV. Its a Philips 32" lcd and until I can update the cables and what not I just plugged the pc in with left/right audio (soundblaster audigy 2) and S video. When the audio is not connected the picture is fine, but as soon as I plug in the the audio cables the picture dies. Any thoughts?
