I keep losing my transparent settings!

I have a computer running Sage Client and keep loosing my settings. I launch Sage, setup my menu to be transparent and it works great. Once I exit Sage and start it again my menus are no longer transparent. How can I keep these settings? I know they work fine, but I have to manually set this up every time I load Sage.

Ok, anyone know why this happens? I found out that I keep the settings if I am not recording anything. If I am recording something, exit sage with the show/shows still recording, and restart sage I lose my transparent setting. I can reload my media settings and they come back, but that is kind of a pita.

What version of SageTV are you using and are you using any customizations? I'd recommend trying the latest version with no customizations to see if the problem goes away.

Similar problem here too. When I start Sage the menus are not transparent and stays that way until I either play a recorded show or reload the decoder settings. After this the menus are fine until I exit and restart Sage. Don't know what's causing it but it's a PITA. Hope theres a fix soon.

I just downloaded the latested version Sage and put it on a clean machine, but I am using dynamic menus's, web server, info popup, and the advance stop plugin. It is funny that it only happens when I am recording shows and exit. I guess it might be a plugin, I have not checked that yet. Chad

If you use the Options command from the Main Menu, what does it show for the 2 Video Menu Options: Display Video on Menus and Video Menu Style?

In my case I am running the latest version with no plugins or anything. Another problem I've noticed is that my aspect ratios some times change when going in and out of standby for some reason. Don't know if this has anything to do with the transparency problem.

Ok just restored my system to just before Sage was installed. I still have the same problem without any add ons. I have the option of "always" for display video on menus and "background" video menu style.

Ahhh, 'Always' as the video setting may be what's tripping it up. Submit a bug report on it please: http://sagetv.com/bugs.html
