New VBOX Dual ATSC Tuner with BDA QAM

This is interesting..... It sounds like this card will do QAM over Media Center (BDA) drivers....

Cat’s Eye eDTA-164 supports ATSC Digital High Definition television reception

Las Vegas NV, VBox Communications, a private company partially held by Optibase (Nasdaq:OBAS), a leading provider of digital broadcast receivers, today announced its latest generation of Digital TV ATSC/NTSC devices – the Cat’s Eye eDTA-164.
VBox Cat’s Eye eDTA-164 card when operates with Windows XP Media Center Edition or MediaCenter applications e.g. BeyondTV enables users to watch and record simultaneously, or record two programs at once without facing scheduling conflicts. Such Media Center applications deliver easy-to-use integrated digital entertainment including live and recorded television, movies, music, photos and radio. The customer’s digital media is all in one place, accessible on either a PC monitor or television display, using a single remote control.
Cat’s Eye eDTA-164, plug-in PCI Express board with Dual ATSC/NTSC reception front-end, allow digital and analog broadcasting reception. In addition to high-definition ATSC signals, Cat’s Eye e154 can receive conventional analog TV, allowing viewers to tune in to both analog and digital broadcasts in North America and South Korea. The Cat’s Eye eDTA-164 utilized Micronas technologies including DRX 3941H, a demodulator for ATSC/QAM/NTSC, AVF 4913A, an audio/video decoder frontend and nGene® APB 7202A, a dual-channel PCIe multimedia controller.
Cat’s Eye eDTA-164 with BDA drivers will be available in the first quarter of 2006.

Notice though that there's no reference to the card doing QAM, only that it uses a QAM capable demodulator.
