using multiple pvr150s to tune multiple external stbs

Hello,

I have a question for which a search did not seem to produce an answer. Has anyone successfully used the ir blasters that come with the pvr150 cards to tune multiple external boxes. I currently have 2 pvr150 cards installed and I have 2 stbs. can I use each card and blaster to tune a separate box? I figured I would ask before I try to make this work on my own or go ahead and purchase the usb-uirt and edit ir files.

Thanks in advance

P.s. I love Sage. Glad I stumbled across it. It's a great product.

The Hauppauge IR software can only use 1 card's IR blaster, just like it can only use 1 card's IR receiver. So, you couldn't use 2 separate 150 IR blasters.

What I don't know, but which I doubt is possible, is whether the Hauppauge software can be configured such that a single blaster can control multiple STBs.

Thanks for the quick reply. While I don't understand your first sentence ( I have 2 150's installed, both using their internal tuners) I will just take it as a sign that I should go the tried and tested usb-uirt route.

Thanks again,
Nick

I just meant that you can't use both IR Blasters.

(I added a couple 'IR' phrases to the post -- the receiver I was referring to was the IR receiver, not the TV tuner.)
