How do you keep up with the plugins/updates?

So I have been using SageTV long enough to know that I NEED a bunch of the cool plugins/STVs/STVIs available through everyone's hard work. They have made the program so well rounded.

The question is: How do I keep up-to-date?

I don't want to miss out on the updates, but cruising the forums to stay updated seems...inefficient. Note that I do watch the forums anyway, so I don't miss out on any cool new advances.

Is the Wiki up-to-date? Is there only this one Wiki http://www.sage-community.org/?

An update tool/feature would be sweet, however hard or unlikely. I assume it's not worth the trouble.

Just curious.

I haven't actually tried this, but can't you just subscribe to the threads in the forum for the imports that you use? Then you can get instant, daily or weekly updates about the imports you use.

You know, it would be sweet if plug-ins would work like firefox extensions. I.e. you could have sagetv check to see if there are more current versions available. Add, remove, or upgrade them at will.

Personally, I like stability. I'm not interested in having the latest version of each addon download itself the moment it comes out (especially if there might be bugs in it). Once or twice a month is often enough to be tinkering with my Sage box.
