Server board question.

My sage server board just crapped out on me and I'm thinking of replacing it with a server board (Supermicro P4SCT+, or Asus PSCH-L). My main concern is with the Server Chipsets and with the PCI-X slots.

Are the PVR-150-MCE cards compatible with PCI-X slots? I know that technically they are; but I was wondering if anyone can actually cofirm this?

Are there any issues with the Intel E7210 Chipset (Canterwood ES) that I should be aware of? My old server had an Intel 865PE and it work flawlessly for over 2 years.

Thanks.

Yes you can plug regular PCI in a PCI-X slot. Granted it will cause the whole bus to run in PCI mode so any other cards that are PCI-X will run in PCI mode. but PCI-X can accept regular PCI cards. Now if it's a server board it probably has multiple PCI busses. So this probably won't be an issue.. Just plug your PCI-X card (if you have any) in another bus.
