WinTV PVR USB

I'm looking to get another USB2. I found a WinTV-PVR-USB on eBay, and I can see in the picture that it says PVR on it, where mine says PVR2. The inputs are in different places, which indicates differences on the inside. I can find no mention of a previous version of the USB2 on the Hauppauge site or anywhere else. Is Hauppauge trying to pretend it never happened? Do any of you have one of these, and how has it been working for you?

Make sure it is the WinTV-PVR-USB2, which should be model 941. That is the hardware encoder one. There are other WinTV-USB devices that are software encoders, so check that they aren't calling it something that it isn't. I believe there was also an older WinTV-PVR-USB (no #2 in the name), which you do not want either (this is probably the one you are seeing).

You'll notice the WinTV-PVR-USB is not on the product comparison page. I did manage to find it on the drivers page though (WinTV-PVR-usb Support). The latest drivers are dated July 10, 2002. That can't be a good sign.

Yeah -- like I said, it was an older product. You can see it listed on SHS's site -- click on the 'PVR Model' link in the left bar & scroll all the way down. That's what you see on ebay, I would guess.
