WMV Tags...again

I imported some .wmv files last night. With no data in the tag, files show up as "null<name of file>". Ie. in the UI it was listed as "nullPlay Something Country". There is no folder structure either. ( I had 2 music videos in their own folders with art, in a master "Music Videos" folder, but both files showed up in the main UI screen, not the "Music Videos" folder that would show both files when I opened it). When I added info to the tag, the "null" was gone but there was still no structure.

I have been submitting bug reports regarding .wmv imports since around 4.1.1 or so. It has been getting better, and after 4.1.8, I submitted a bug report bout there being no folder structure.

They said that the folder structure bug is fixed for the next release.

IN the meantime, I just delete the WMATagParser from Sage.jar with Sage completely shutdown. It makes .wmv's show up just like every other import video. Supposedly it messes up .wma listings, but I don't use .wma's so it doesn't bother me.

Yeah, I did that for a while. I do have .wma files though, so I just convert my videos to .divx...problem solved. It takes about 1 min to convert a 16 Meg music video to a 14 Meg .divx file. Quality is slightly worse, but I'm just dropping it in DivX Converter...not doing any Mulit-Pass stuff. A 320x240 video recorded by WMRecorder Pro looks acceptable enough to me at 1920x1080
