Not Connecting When Running as Service?

I setup the 4.18 beta on both the server and client. I was able to connect with placeshifter when NOT running the server as a service.

I switched to a service and now it is not responding. I'm getting Java connect timeout errors.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Rob

It sounds like perhaps sagetv.exe is allowed through your firewall, but SageTVService.exe isn't.

Thanks, Andy. I'll add that executable to the media center system firewall. Any other apps or ports I should check?

Adding Service Worked, Had to Tweak Streaming Setting

I added the app to the media server firewall settings and it worked. The next issue I had was in streaming out over the Internet using the default Dynamic settings. The video would not start.

I changed the settings to use the default manual settings and the stream started immediately and worked beautifully.

Thanks,
Rob
