Media Extender spawns multiple instances
I am using v4.1.7 but also saw this in 4.1.6. There are times when I reboot the server and when I plug in an mvp after the reboot the server instance pegs at 100% CPU and instances of the mvp instance try to open on the server opening a window for each one. This will cause the mvp screen to flash "booting up" everytime an instance opens. The only way to stop it is to kill the sagetv.exe instance in task manager. Anyone have any ideas on how to resolve this?

Send your Sage.properties, RemoteClients.properties.defaults and all of the files in your clients subfolder to betatest at sagetv.com so we can wee what's wrong with it. Thanks.

I had this problem when I was initially setting up my MVP. It went away when I installed a new motherboard - which I had already planned on, with a clean install of XP. Been running flawlessly ever since.
When it was happening it was causing my sage settings to get messed up and I'd have to reconfigure sage after each attempt to use the MVP. I would actually see two SageTV windows on the server - both looking like the initial setup wizard. |

Switched from a Soyo KT600 (via chipset) to a MSI board, can't remember exact model, but it's got an Nvidia NF2 Ultra 400 Chipset.

Ok.. I asked because I ordered my nforce3 chipset board yesterday .. I backed up my wiz.bin and sage.properties files, deleted the sagetv folder, reinstalled 4.1.8, and replaced the wiz.bin and sage.properties files. Everything is back to normal.. for now. The board I currently have is a VIA chipset so hopefully the new chipset will kill the issues I keep having with sage.
