audio issue with SageTV app running

Hi All,

Forgive my newbie-ness. I have an annoying problem with audio when SageTV has started.

MIDI files will play with Windows Media Player (as set to) but no sound. WAV files can be heard when played but not any type of MIDI files.

Sound comes out fine when the system is freshly started WITHOUT SageTV having been started (app only, all is fine when only the service is running).

Any and all help is vastly appreciated!

What type of sound card are you using? Most non-Creative hardware no longer has a hardware MIDI capability.

You might also want to try Winamp for MIDI. It lets you specify your MIDI output device.

Hi GT,

I have an Nforce2 Ultra mobo with integrated audio. The midi files play fine before SageTV starts but once it has run midi won't play. Even when shut down (application) midi files will run in WMP but no sound.
