PVR 350
I'm having an issue with My PVR 350. I checked dmesg and IVTV is not finding the firmware for the card. I tried to find it on my system and it's not there, googled it and found a howto, but there's tools that I need to extract the firmware that I can't find.
The funny thing is I got my ATI HDTV Wonder to install including firmware after a kernel upgrade and compile. I think I will check the kernel again to make sure that I still have PVR 350 kernel support. But I lsmod and the the modules are loaded , just the firmware is missing. System Specs Athlon 64 3000 Socket 754 (2) 512 MB Ram MSI Geforce 3 250 Nvidia FX5200 Samsung 50" DLP ATI HD Wonder ATI 550 Pro - Dosen't work in Linux - Leave it in for MCE PVR 350 Maxtor 20 GB Hard Drive SB Live 24Bit Compiled 2.6.15 Kernel with 64bit Support

Am I correct in reading that you got the HD ati card to work under Sage? How hard was this? Would you cconsider writing a how-to on this? I know there are a lot of us who would love to have Hd on our Linux boxes.

sulphurlad, i also would like you to post a "how-to" for the setup of an ati hdtv wonder in gentoo/sagetv please.
i read on the requirements page of sagetv that the hdtv wonder is supported. when i followed the install instructions however, neither gentoo or the sagetv software had the card setup correctly. i've setup the card previously in ubuntu for mythtv by following some instructions that included loading firmware into the OS so i do know its possible. i just thought it would be done for me in the sagetv setup. bummer that it's not |
