Any more media extenders in the near future?

I wondering if there will be any support for an HD media extender in the near future. I am getting ready to add another HD tuner and it would be nice to be able to watch it in the bedroom or replace the PC in the living room.

Also, I was looking on shspvr's website and he mentioned that the new Wireless MVP will have an S/PDIF output. What would that be used for?

Sp/dif is used to send the AC3 stream to a reciever to be decoded for surround sound. Not a really big deal, but seems to be a deal breaker for some. The only benefit I see (and it's only a possibility right now) is for MVP playback of DVD files without the need for transcoding.

Apparently they did let it slip that they were working on an HD extender to be released this year. I think it was Dan that alegedly slipped up at CES.
