MVP dedicated to Kid vids

I have one Sage server, and two regular clients. I just added the MVP to the mix, and I'd like to dedicate it to being "kid vid only" so the kids that my friends bring over can have their own private video area, on a spare TV.

To that end, they don't need to be able to see the guide, watch live tv, or really anything else but watch videos I've already recorded. Is there a way to implement this, using Sage's client? Can the MVP run an STV that's different from the one on the server system? It doesn't appear to have distinct channel lists or parental control settings, so all that's left is an entirely different STV. I guess I'll write it myself, if I have to.

Yes -- each client/extender can use a different STV, if you want. If you want to permanently set such restrictions, you might be best off setting up a limited-use STV that only presents the options/videos that you want it to show. You could even disable STV switching in it... the only way to change the STV after that would be to edit the properties file.

Thanks for the quick reply, Andy. I guess it's time for me to start reading the Studio manual.
