How clean is the system boot up?

Any who has tried SageTV Linux OEM, can you tell me how clean the boot process is:

* Does it show driver initiation or is there some type of boot screen?
* Does it boot into linux or SageTV directly?
* Is it clean/professional looking?

Any screenshots would be nice as well.

It's a standard Gentoo boot without bootsplash. It could, of course, be modified to boot any way you want. It uses LILO with timeout, so it essentially boots directly to linux. init launches a shell for root, which starts X, which launches evilwm, followed by SageTV.
