Anyone seen this one(possible client from Snazio)??

Hi Folks,

Just ran across this piece this morning. Anyone know anything about it? It looks like another device that might make for a sweet HD client.....http://www.snazio.com/Links/Net%20DVD%20Cinema(new).htm

That looks interesting--wonder how much? Didn't see any U.S. distributors .

It looks like it might be nice, but the show stopper for true client functionality is how "open" their software is. From the sound of it, since they supply a server application for it I would doubt that they'd look to kindly at us trying to 'hack' Sage to work on that box.

All we need is for some company (like whoever builds this for Snazzio) to create and market a truely open hardware platform and just provide an API to allow any company to port their software to run on it.

Oh well, it's a nice dream.....

Snazio: Anyone heard of this? Possible HD Client??

Hey all, just stumbled upon this ad over at AVS forums....wondering if it would make a good HD client or not. Looks like there might be a Linux version too.

I just merged them.. and added 'Snazio' to the thread title. I thought this sounded familiar earlier, but a search for Snazio didn't find it. Now that Snazio is in the title and in the posts, a search for Snazio should find this Snazio thread.

I'm shocked - you seem to have a copy of the database in your head. You seem to be able to dig up threads within seconds!

Um... well... I hate to admit it, but there was a database crash & I had forgotten to make a backup.
