AGP 8x Card Recommendation for P4 System

Do you really need that good of a AGP card if your using a pvr 350 or 250 with SageTV software? I would appreciate any advice?

As long as it has a good TV out and you don't intend to use it for playing games and if your useing a 250 then make sure the card has Hardware mpeg 2 decoding (assist). That should give you what you need for Sagetv and for future output to TV. The high performace cards are mainly made for gaming machines which pump out high end graphics in games and need to do it at a high rate of speed to look good without getting choppy.

An inexpensive Geforce 4 mx, Geforce FX, Ati or other card should do but i would try out several to find the one you like best.
