PVR-250 - What other cards are compatible? 500MCE?

I am looking to add another tuner to my Sage Server. I would like to add a 500MCE but I am using the silver Remote. Will this work? What would you reccomend?

I may be missing something here, but the remote you're using shouldn't matter when it comes to adding another tuner. Sage will handle the actual tuning for the new tuners. The only think I can think of would be a blaster if you are going to be controlling a STB. PVR500s do work perfectly fine as Sage sells them in their online store.

It does matter in terms of the Hauppauge remote. This always comes up when considering adding an MCE type tuner (no IR port) to a system with a non-MCE tuner (has IR port); see this info for the Hauppauge remote conflicting with MCE type cards. (Not everyone runs into the problem.)

Ahh ok, I was actually just looking at his system specs and saw a USB-UIRT and assumed he'd be using that. Ya know what they say when I assume....

Yeah... if he switches to using the USB-UIRT as the IR receiver (or if that is already the case & I misunderstood that part), then there is no remote issue.

You know, I have the USBUIRT set up in sage but I think that is only for the cable box. I wouldn't mind losing one of the ir receivers so I'll try switching it over. If that works, well, I'll go buy the 500 mce. Thank you for the info.
