SageTV on TV and Windows on a monitor???
OK, I can’t get this to work. I have done several searchs and read many posts and tried many of the suggestions.
I am running a Nivida GeForce FX 5500 w/256 meg, SageTV 4.1.6.75. I am trying to get SageTV on my big screen TV in full screen mode via s-video connector and Windows desktop on the monitor. When I set it up as clone and then try to set SageTV to the full screen mode it closes SageTV. I have tried having either the TV or the monitor as primary in the horizontal mode and when I go to full screen mode it plays SageTV right in the middle, one half on the tv and the other half on the monitor. The card management control has a Full Screen Video Controls section, but that really wrecks havoc with SageTV. It loses focus and I can’t control it. I like being able to watch TV and to be able to access windows, but can’t stand watching TV on a big screen where SageTV is a small window. How can I get SageTV in full screen on the TV and Windows on the monitor? Or am I wasting my time. TIA |

It has been a while since I messed with such a setup, but I think the only way you are going to get the video & menus to be full screen on both displays is via clone mode in the video driver. Then, for SageTV, you would have to use VMR9 with 3D Acceleration, since overlay doesn't always clone, and if it does, it won't clone the menus instead. Both the monitor & TV should be set to use the same resolution. (Again: that's if I remember correctly.)
