Firefly Button Problem & SageTV

I was having trouble getting my "back" button on my firefly to be assigned as "previous channel" in SageTV. It doesnt even look like Sage recognizes the button when I hit it, anyone have any ideas? I can't map my A-D buttons either because they have other uses.

I've assigned the previous channel function, ^p, to the C or the Help key without problem. What code are you using?

I just checked and my back button is not programmed either for Sage.

Where are you editing it from? I can't in it in the global, default, or SageTV-FreyTechnologies-1.4.xml files. The back button does work in the Beyond Media Basic program.

I found the following code in the BeyondMediaBasic-SnapStream-1.0.xml file.

<Actions Button="ChannelRecall" Description="Back">
<KeyAction Keys="{bs}" />
</Actions>

I don't know if this is the same thing. I don't know how to program in xml and don't know what it means.

I tried adding the code as shown with no luck. I replaced the {bs} with ^p and now Sage will jump to the previous channel. Is this what you're looking for?

Also, just a thought, you can program the help, maximize, close, and firefly buttons. They're useless to me. I would have already assigned other functions to them, but there's currently nothing else I need.

See the link http://forum.byopvr.com/dvr/index.php/topic,5127.0.html for the rest of the programmed buttons or to download my .xml file.
