Hauppauge WinTV-GO-Plus 1033 work?

I saw a good deal for the Haup 1033, but will this work for SageTV? My wireless keyboard/mouse signal is too weak to reach my sweetspot on the couch.
I would love to get the 1033 as a 2nd tuner AND have a remote.

Are there any cheap remote alternatives?

No. You want the PVR150, PVR250 or PVR500. That card does not have hardware encoding.

Ugh - after further investigation the 1033 uses software to encode.

So my next question is... what's a good and cheap way to add a remote to my sagetv box?

If you get one of the non-MCE Hauppauge cards, you would get a remote. Otherwise, you could look into the USB-UIRT & use almost any remote you want. Among others, there is also a StreamZap remote + receiver, but I think the USB-UIRT is better/more versatile.

Oh yes it does work

I have a PVR 250, PVR-USB-II and a WinTV-GO in my server. Its a little tricky to get it to work, but it does work just fine for me.
