Hauppauge Tweaks

Morning,

Just curious if the tweaks in this thread: http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/showthread.php?t=284 were still valid? Is this something I should be using, or are these changes covered off by other drivers now? I just noticed the thread seems a little dated.

Reason I'm asking is, I'm pretty happy with my setup, but I notice I get long sort of wavy vertical lines on my picture when watching TV now, that I didn't have before I put in the PVR. Would these tweaks help or is there something else I can do to allieviate this?
