USB-UIRT - cannot save Remote Control Options
We just got a new USB-UIRT (the 56K version, as we're controlling a Dish 301 sat box with it). While installing, we set up a new video source, then got to the part under Tuner Control and clicked Remote Control Options and changed some of them. The changes didn't save. Also, Learn New Command seemed to work, but the new command didn't appear in the list of commands. I know we can edit the file manually (and that's what we did to get things working), but any idea why we can't edit it from within SageTV? We're running v4.1 of Sage, BTW.
And on a related note, I've seen several posts that show the contents of various .ir files, and some of them have different options included. Is the format of these files documented anywhere? What do all the numbers on the first line of the file mean (after the device name)? I can guess a couple of them - number of digits, milliseconds between, etc. But is there a documented format? Someone had put "Exit" at the end of this line. How did he know to do that? DeviceName 56000 411 3 600 1000 RepeatCount 4 1 0000 ... 2 ... Thanks, Kathy |

If you are running in service mode, try running w/o the service to configure the USB-UIRT.

Not running in service mode
Hi,
Thanks for your quick reply. We had disabled service mode earlier during the installation, and it's been off the whole time so that's not it. We double-checked and it's still disabled. Kathy |
