Enter Key no longer selects?

Somehow, in trying to program remote control commands, I have disabled the enter key on the keyboard. It will no longer function as an enter(select) key. How can I fix this?

Try linking the enter key to the Select command.

Ok. How do I do that? A search of the users manual turned up nothing on Link or link keys.

Oh... I didn't mention that because I thoguht you knew where based on changing other commands.

Detailed Setup -> Link Command; click on Select & then press the Enter key. ... of course, this assumes you have another way to select things, such as via mouse click or remote. If not, I would have to look up the affected property.

I think I see what you mean now. That section is for linking both keyboard strokes and IR signals to commands. That must be how I disabled the enter key. I did not know that you could disable keyboard strokes in this area also.

I fixed the enter key on the Keyboard, but I have two more of what look like IR codes (Long Set of Numbers) that I cannot get unassigned from the enter Key. Also the number 2 key has one Ir code I can't remove. Nothing on my remote deletes them. Any way to remove these? Will they cause any problem by being there?

The IR codes would be found on the ui/rc_mappings/<command name> properties.

Sorry but I don't understand this. How do you get into this area to delete the unwanted IR codes. Is this a registry edit?

Those ui/rc_mappings lines are in the properties files -- sage.properties if not using serice mode, or sageclient.properties if using service mode or a client. You edit the file while SageTV is not running; just load it in Notepad & make sure Format -> Word Wrap is not checked.
