Recording a large number of partial files
I've been running SageTV for a while and just recently upgraded from 2.x to 4.x and added a hd board (AV180) to the mix (haup 250). I've noticed that since adding the hd board/updating the software that I get a large number of partial files recorded in my directory and only a few programs actually get recorded fully. The system is a NF3 mb, 1gb ram, 250 gb hdd record area and an 80 gb boot drive. I run Sage in standby on this system which is the way I've always done it and view the files with the client on my htpc. Yesterday I found, 30 some odd partial files (some upwards of 3gb) and only 3 programs that were fully recorded after a period of 2 days. It's to the point where I am getting only 1 or two programs out of 5 favorites recorded. I've done a search on partial and found that people want to record them sometimes but that isn't the problem I'm having.
TIA PS I don't watch live tv at all on this system so I'm fairly sure that's not it. |

It sounds to me like perhaps the recent card addition caused problems someplace. Perhaps see if the cards are sharing IRQs & try moving the cards to other slots, and/or check to see if there are updated drivers for the tuners. Also try not using standby for the time being.
