Another strange audio problem

When i select some (not all) of my MP3's for playback, sage appears to be playing the file, but no sound comes out and the visualization is blank.
If i skip forward or backward in the song, it magically starts playing. Then, when it gets to the next mp3 file, it will be silent again until i skip ... etc.

Anyone else have this problem?
Maybe it's a problem with the way my MP3's are ripped/tagged?
Would someone be willing to try out one of my files and let me know if it happens to them too?

Thanks,
Jeff

OK, i thought this was just a problem with my htpc, but i just tried it on another sage client machine and the same thing happens.

These mp3's work perfectly on every other player that i've tried
(i have a mix of VBR 192 - 320 Kbs files and CBR 320 Kb files encoded with LAME)... haven't been able to figure out if that has anything to do with it.

Anyone, anyone?

Thanks,
Jeff

That's about as strange as my problem....sometimes when i maximize sage going from another app it pushes my wave slider right down to the bottom, leaving me deaf also lol. Damn computers, I think I understand women better and that's not sayin a hell of a lot I'd be willing to try out your files, sure.

I have the same exact problem with only some of my files. I just noticed it and haven't figured out any reason yet.

After contacting Narflex about this I was told it was a codec installed on my machines causing the issue. You can see the codec being used in the graph by looking at the debug logs. For me the faulty decoder was called:
MPEG Layer-3 Decoder
which I unregistered using radlight filter manager and my problem has gone away.
