SageTV server goes into hibernate/standby when watching over MediaMVP

With the release of 4.1.4 I changed Matt’s Plug-in for the new built in MVP support (pal). Ever since I’ve hade the problem that when watching a program on the mvp, the server enters hibernate/standby mode after a certain specified time?

I have set my computer to enter hibernate mode when not active, and it did not give any problems with Matt’s client solution.

I have tried two different network adapters, update and re-install my Realtek adapter driver. Nothing.

Just to test, I set up another computer with a Sage Client installed. That works fine – the server stays awake.

Has anyone a good advice?

Thanks!

XP Pro SP2, SageTV v4.1.6 Beta, Athlon 64 3000+, 1GB , 80 GB WD hd (sata), 250 GB WD hd (sata), 320 GB WD hd (IDE), Asus Radeon 9600 XT, PVR 500 MCE. Hauppauge + mediaMVP

Unfortunately I’m not an expert in computing so I can’t say if this make any difference or not, but I have noticed two things regarding the problem mentioned above.

1) When watching a recorded show over a Sage Client on another computer The server and the client communicate on two ports: 7818 and 42024 (42024 - two local ports). The mvp communicate only on port 31099 (two local ports).

2) The debug log writes “PM currState=1” when watching on a Client computer or recording a show. But “PM currState=0” when watching a show on the mvp.

I wonder if I’m the only one experiencing this problem, or is it because everybody else leave their server on all the time?

Thanks

We just found the bug, it's fixed for the next build. If you don't run the server in service mode then it won't occur (if you're interested in a workaround for now).
