Java.Lang error after changing STV
I have had Sage 4.1 running for the last few days with two Vbox tuners. I just added the Dynamic Menu, enabled the hidden extras, and now I have problems. First, one tuner disappeared and I couldn't add it back. Second, when I tried restarting Sage I get the following error:
"An exception occured in Java: Java.Lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: No DShowPlayer in Java.Library path" I was running Java 1.5.0.4 so I uninstalled it and insalled Java 1.4.2. Didn't fix teh problem. I uninstalled 1.4 and reinstalled 1.5.0.4. Problem still exists. Any idea what is wrong? Thanks, Steve |

As a rule always keep a copy of the original STV before adding imports to it. If you did that go back to the default STV and see if the error goes away. If you didn't save a copy try a different STV and check for the error. If everything is fine from that point enable hidden extras and test. Then Dynamic menu and test. Sounds like something got enabled to use an external player. For your tuner see if it ended up in the mmc_encoders\ignore line in your sage.properties file.

Gerry, interesting timing. At the same time you were writing a response I found a fix. I did try copying all of the original Sage files back (I had backed up the whole directory) and the problem persisted. I put the modified version of Sage back and reinstalled Sage with the repair function and now the system is back up and running. Even the second tuner shows up again.
Thanks, Steve |
