Tip: How to normalize HDTV/DVD/Hauppauge audio with Nvidia PureVideo

For the longest time, I've had problems with Hauppauge Audio being too loud, ac-3 volume being too low. and PCM audio somewhere towards to low side.

AC3 Filter "can" do dynamic audio compression, but I could never get it to sound right when enabled. It would actually sound pretty bad.

Below are the registry settings that I use that works flawlessly for all sound sources on my setup.

You may want to omit the "Crossoverfrequeny" & "Enable24Bit" entries if something does sound or work right.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NVIDIA Corporation\Filters\Audio]
"EnablePropPage"=dword:00000001
"AC3CompressionMode"=dword:00000003
"AC3DynamicRangeLow"=dword:00000000
"AC3DynamicRangeHigh"=dword:00000000
"Calibrating"=dword:00000000
"CrossoverFrequency"=dword:00000078
"LeftTrim"=dword:00000028
"NoiseTarget"=dword:00000001
"RightTrim"=dword:00000028
"SurroundChannelDelay"=dword:0000000f
"Enable24Bit"=dword:00000001
