new HD, what files to move?
howdy,
I'm going to retire my HD in favor of a much larger one. I plan to rinstall the OS on the new drive, re-install sage and move the videos + config to the new HD. I know I need to save the win.bin file for info on the currently recorded shows (right?). Does this also conatain all my programming prefs ( e.g. favorites?) What files contain channel mappings? Thanks!

The channel mappings and a lot of other settings are stored in the Sage.properties file. I would just copy the whole Frey Technologies folder over to the new drive and install on top of it. If you start SageTV before you have moved the video files, SageTV will delete the program info for the missing files out of the wiz.bin file.
