SageTV won't let me change channels

I am demoing the SageTV. I really like it but for one problem. Sometimes it won't let me change channels. It might be when something is recording. But I go through what I think is turning off recording and it still won't let me change channels.

I'm usnig SageTV with the Hauppauge WinTV PVR 150 and the IR blaster is sending commands to a Dish Network Echostar receiver. This setup changes channels some of the time with SageTV and always works with the WinTV2000 that came with the card. The I find that software somewhat wanting and so am investigating SageTV. If I could get this figured out I may go with SageTV.
