Digital Cable

Is there any way at all for Sage to record something for which my TV requires a cable box without the IR blaster?

Imagine this:
You have 2 or more Tuners and want to record 2 shows at the same time. Both premium channels. Would this require 2 cable boxes sitting behind my PC and the WinTV card blasting it to change channels? Is this even possible at all?

Digital cable, of course is a different extension of this problem.

No way around the 1 cable box per tuner requirement. Cable companies encrypt most (or all) of their digital channels and a cable box is the only way to decrypt them.

You can get around the IR thing by using Serial control if your box support it.

Alternatively, the USB-UIRT support up to 3 "zones" so it can control 3 boxes individually.
