MVP + Receiver = Surround Sound???
Just wondering if I pass through the stereo signal (R+W RCA cables) coming out of the MVP to a receiver that is surround capable, will it produce the surround channels or will it only be stereo?
Thanks JUC

You will get surround sound(if the stereo sound contains Dolby Surround information).
Use Dolby Prologic II/IIx or DTS Neo6 decoding on your receiver. It works pretty good for me.

thanks, that's good to hear. So, the next question would be: If i'm recording TV with a PVR250/150 with stereo sound outputting from my Directv STB into the PVR250---is that recording and passing on the dolby surround information to the MVP? I'm thinking yes but just want to make sure.
Thanks JUC
