24 -Favorite not working

I'm having some sort of issue with '24'. I set it as a favorite at the top of my list and for some odd reason it's refusing to auto-record it. It always picks a lower-priority show to record for some reason

Anyone else having this problem, or is it just me? I can't stand this having to be by the system when it comes on just to make sure it's recording....

Check each point in Q 2 in this FAQ for some reasons that a fav may not be recorded.

Also, be sure to check the Recording Conflicts screen shortly before the next time you think it should be recording to see if there are any conflicts.

I'm also having a problem recording 24. I've set it to record the series in HD(fusion card), the only other item set to record is something on A&E after 24 on Cable using my PVR150, yet Sage is listing a conflict with no explaination or choice on what to do except to not record 24.

I've canceled the series, and then set it again without a change. Last week I checked to make sure it would record, and it did...but today I didn't and I missed it.

Are you using padding?
If you have only one capture card available and you have two shows set to record back-to-back on different channels, they can't overlap at all (including padding).
Sage has an option to remove padding on back-to-back favorites, but only if they are on the same channel.

So, if show "A" is on channel 2 from 8:00pm to 9:00pm with 2 minutes of padding at the end and show "B" is on channel 3 from 9:00pm to 10:00pm, one of the shows won't record. In this case, you should get a conflilct warning though.

Personally, I wish Sage would give an option to record as much of the lower priority show as possible in the case of a small overlap like this, but they don't.

I do have padding on 24, but they are being recorded by different capture cards: 24 with Fusion 5 lite in HD, and the other program on cable (A&E), so by my understanding they shouldn't conflict. In fact I've had two show recording simultaneously previously. I've also had 'real' conflicts where if I go to manage the conflict it gives me options...show A or show B.

In my case, it shows a conflict, and the only option I have is to not record 24. It doesn't tell me what is conflicting with it.

I guess nobody else had this problem. I will probably upgrade to the current beta version and see if it helps. If I notice the same problem, I'll try and capture a screen shot.

Still having issues with recording series 24

As I posted above, Sage is giving me a conflict (usually the day of) the recording of 24. When I go to manage the conflict, there is nothing listed as conflicting with the recording, and my only option is to not record 24.

I do not have anything else set to record so there really shouldn't be any conflicts. I've canceled the series recording and re-entered it more than once with the same issue. I've also just let it go thinking that maybe it was a fluke and got burned when it didn't record an episode.

I can manually go and tell it to record a single show, but it won't record the series automatically week-to-week. I am able to record other series just fine, so this seems specific to 24.

Any ideas why?
