Drivers for PVR 500 w/Windows 2003 Server
I am replacing my old server and software with a new AMD server with a PVR500 to start. I will move the old PVR350 over once I get it on line. The server specs are:
AMD Athlon 64 3800+ X2 2 Gig RAM 1T RAID 5 array Windoze 2003 Server I have installed the newest version of Java and DirectX. After installing SageTV version 4.1, it can see both tuners. When I try using them, I cannot get any picture out. I have downloaded the newest drivers from Hauppauge, but they only list through XP for OSs supported. Any suggestions for the correct drivers and what Hauppauge software is required? Thanks, |

Windows 2003 Server isn't designed for multimedia. I think there is more software from Microsoft that needs to be installed on that box.

OK, you got my attention...What might that "other" software be?
Should I be moving this to another forum like SageTV software? Thanks, |

Search the forum first before you post. There's been some threads and posts regarding this. I'm not running Windows 2003 server but I know people have done it but it was more than just installing the OS.

Reference this thread:
Sage 4 and Windows 2003 Server Maybe it's more a configuration job than any additional software. Gerry

I just installed the XP drivers AFAIK. Didn't install anything special to get it working.
However I use it for recording only, so I don't know how it does for playback. |
