PVR-500 audio problems
First off, I am new to SageTV and after my PVR-350 died on me, I upgraded to the PVR-500. All is working well except for one of the tuners has static for the audio, but the picture looks great. The other tuner is working perfectly.
I have deleted the "Sources" and tried each one individually, but that did not help, it seems to be the same tuner that has this problem. After looking around the forum to see if others have had a similar problem, the most remotely close thing I could find is a driver issue. I am using the latest drivers from Hauppauge, but maybe that is my problem. Has anyone had this problem before and found a fix? Thanks, Eric |

You might want to consider that it may be a bad card. If you can, install the WinTV software that comes with the card and see if it works with that. If you have same issue I would say bad card.

Ya, I was trying to do that, but it said that I was missing a particular .dll when trying to run it. The drivers I originally installed were the MCE drivers on the hauppauge support site figuring they were more up-to-date than what came with the card.
I think I read somewhere that in order to use WinTV, I needed to install the PVR-150 drivers to get it to work, but I wonder how I will know which tuner is being used. I guess I could disable one at a time in the device manager. |

Install the drivers and load the WinTV software. I think you can be pretty sure if one of the tuners don't work it's the same one you're having issues with and you need to return the card.
