I did the deletion, but cannot install because of the Wise Installer file issue... I have emailed support for assistance. Thanks

I've submitted this as a bug report, but if anyone has any ideas I'd welcome it too.

I have this exact same issue (6600GT). FSE was working great in 4.0 and has steadly gotten more flaky. The only way I can start up with FSE in 4.1.5 is to reboot and have it come up already in full screen. If not, Sage throws an execption and exits the first time you touch the remote/mouse.

Does anyone know if there is a way to force Sage to come up in full screen mode other than at startup? Like a command line parameter?

I am curious as to whether this problem is only solved with a reboot or its just that Sage needs to come up in full screen mode if its in FSE (realizing that is not usually the case).

The log and error log are attached. More than happy to help debug someone elses software for a change, heh.

Well, disregard that statement. Still getting corrupted menus and other user interface elements that are only fixed by rebooting the MVP.

Anyone else getting freezes on the mvp client? Tonight's the first time I've sat down and watched tv all night with 4.1.5 and I've had a couple of lockups - resolved by a mvp reboot.

Yep, I had some previous posts in this thread on my issues. Sent in some logs to beta support but I don't know if it had much for them. I'm going to keep trying to get some good data.

Yep. My WAF just plummeted. Can not get the MVP to completely reboot. It is either stopping at the Sage boot screen or gets into the SAGE menu system with no menus showing.

I had earlier posted that FSE was working with my FX5200, but having read this message, I tried exiting, and then entering, full screen mode, and was able to reproduce this crash. Illegal instruction exception.

Thanks jlabrue. Just read through the thread properly and found your issues with this release. Yep, experiencing them here as well with fully licensed setup. Switching back to an earlier release for now.

Got many problem too with 4.1.5 with my MVP, when powering it off and back on it have to reload the dongle file an after that boot up, got many freezing isue while watching stuff like livetv or mpeg files, sometimes is was getting back to the SageTV default UI but i was using SageMC, many time very slow response while watcing tv if i was changing channel of calling program info and finally the transcoding options give me a playback error eveytime. Guess what i get back to 4.1.4 and now eveything work fine. Now i understand what Beta mean don't touch it leave it to others !!!

I restarted the server software and rebooted the MVP and all is better. It was really weird. My menu text was not there but I could arrow up and down and select the menu option. Just no text. Why did this happen?

Seeing many issues with 4.1.5 and MVP (some of them already reported) -
All issues are sporadic and non-reproducable but fixed by an MVP reboot.

1. slow menus, empty menus, focus problems etc.
2. While watching a recording, the time bar stopped appearing.
3. Another time, a recording completed and took me to the Sage configuration screen. All buttons - stop, options etc were taking me to the config screen.
4. The "Browse Media Files" opens up the file selection dialog box but sometimes it's empty.

i know the following are unsupported but i'm reporting the issues anyway hoping it might provide clues -

5. Playing some of my AVI files produced a green screen and froze Sage.
6. The disk status bar sometimes goes blank. I think this happens at the same time that the time bar stops showing up.
7. Malore's recordings screen has focus and sync problems.

Like everyone else my mvp's stop responding overnight. This morning the sage server crashed so I rebooted and all was fine but since the mvp's were having issues I unplugged them because I was going out of town and I knew they would crash. Ever since installing the latest beta I've notice that my cpu will spike to 100% from sage and stay there until something crashes. I thought it was the mvp's causing it but I can rule that out as sage has once again pegged the cpu and no one is watching anything. The only thing that's on is one pc client with no one using it. There are no recordings going on sage is just idle. So far the best part of this beta for me is the fixing of direct tv serial tuning.

Cool thanks for confirming that. It's always good to know something is a bug before reinstalling and starting from scratch for some stupid windows problem.

peace . . .

Basic questions

A couple of basic questions on 4.1.5 beta. Setup is a server PC, a client PC, and 2 MediaMVP clients. I downloaded 4.1.5 beta twice and have rebooted a couple of times since.

1. Both the server and the MediaMVPs report Version 4.1.4.68 under System Information. Is there a bug in the report, or did the 4.1.5 install not work?

2. Do I need to do anything to the MediaMVPs to upgrade, other than power-cycle them? Do I need to install the SageClient on the server PC?

3. Is there transcoding support for wma Windows Media music files on the MVPs?

Thanks - VinceInSeattle.

Unfortunately JVM 1.4 still crashes in exactly the same way as 1.5 for FSE.
