Setup Wizard / Capture Error in Playback

Hi Guys,

i have a problem during the setup with sage 4.1.5 ( 4.1.3 also ). if i want to select a input device sage.tv shows me an error like this:

There was a Capture Error in Playback. Details:
ERROR (-2,0x80004005) There was a Problem using
a Sage Component. Please re-install the Sage Application.

I have read some about similar Problems with Plextor and MCE. But i have a Hauppauge Nova-S with BDA.Drivers from TechnoTrend, and the Original Software works fine with this ... attached the screen of the error warning

perhaps this can be helpfull
system:
P4 3,0
2 GB Ram
3x Maxtor 6L250S0
Hauppauge Nova-S ( with BDA Driver from TT )
Ati Raedon9250 / 128 AGP
WIN XP PRO with all Updates.

can you give me a piece of advice, please?

THX Daniel

My guess is that the error is due that tuner not being on the list of supported TV tuners.

Good Morning Opus4,

thanks for your information. but then i have the next problem ... ... i live in germany and only can receive satellite tv. witch card i must have to use it with sage.tv?

i tried from hauppauge the Nexus-S and you now the Nova-S, but none works.

the cards on the supported list are cable tv tuners, have you a recommendation for me=? It will be nice if the card has a hardware mpg2 decoder or better, it is possible to watch HDTV here in Germany.

or i can forget sage.tv in germany when i have no cable tv?

thanks a lot.

Daniel
